SDW104 Introduction to Academic Writing

What is academic writing? How is it different from other genres of writing that you’ve done? Get a head start on submitting good reports and essays by learning what constitutes good academic writing.

SDW 105 Academic Writing at Intermediate Level

This workshop aims to consolidate students’ academic writing skills. It will help students to well structure their essays, develop effective arguments, and adopt the writing strategies to produce assignments of good quality.

Target Participants: Undergraduates and postgraduates who aim to strengthen academic writing skills in composing essays (e.g. how to understand essay instructions, write effective introduction, draft and build arguments, etc.)

SDW107 Research Writing I: Proposal and Literature Review

What is a research proposal? How to build literature review? This workshop introduces the writing skills to compose good proposals and literature review in the initial stage of capstone projects/applied projects/master dissertations.

Target Participants: Students who need to do capstone projects/applied projects/Master’s dissertation

SDW108 Research Writing II: Methods and Finding

How to describe research method and present research findings? This workshop strengthens your understanding of research writing, and enhances your writing skills while reporting your capstone project/applied project/master dissertations.
